CoAP REGIONS - Demographic Data

The number of mature people is increasing owing to longer life spans and a falling birth rate.

The latest projections indicate that by 2020, nearly a third of our workforce will be over 50.

The new age profile is opening up a wealth of opportunities and requirements for both employers and the workforce.

The smaller number of young people means that businesses will need to recruit from a wider pool of talented workers to meet employment demand.

It also underlines the short sightedness of letting years of accumulated knowledge, experience and skills leave the workforce simply because the people who possess it reach an entirely artificial age milestone in their lives.
